Man injects himself with magic mushroom tea and it turns out just about as well as you’d think it would.
In this week’s stupid silly news, some dude learns that injecting psychedelic mushrooms is a really…really bad idea.
After doing some research, the unidentified 30-year-old man elected to administer some psychedelics for the treatment of his stage one bipolar disorder.
And while psychedelic therapy has shown clinical promise for the treatment of certain mental disorders, it’s unknown as to why this individual chose the mainline the mystical mushroom tea instead of consuming them.
Long story short, this unfortunate individual was hospitalized after acute organ failure resulting from injecting the magic mushroom tea.
Strangely enough, it is reported that a blood test revealed that the psychedelic fungi had started growing in the man’s blood.
The patient was subsequently treated with antibiotics and antifungals; later to be released from the hospital.
Well, if we can take anything from this story, it’s that, intervenious use of magical mushroom tea is not a thing. And to always seek guidance from a competent practitioner before pursuing any sort of psychedelic treatment therapy.
