“Magic mushrooms and chocolate go together like peas and carrots”

We get it; you’re a badass, with a lip full of fungi and bad breath.

But just because you can chew on boomers until the cows come home, does it mean you have to?

I say no!

In fact, why don’t we take this opportunity to flex our culinary muscles and inject some fun and flavor into our lives with these three spectacular magic mushroom chocolate recipes?

LET’S TALK DOSAGE FOR A SECOND.

Correct dosing of your magic mushrooms can mean the difference between a chill night at home among friends, and being knighted by the reptile king who lives in your crawlspace.

That said, some forethought should go into the dose based on your intended experience. The good news is that it’s not really that hard. Simply divide up the amount of mushrooms you will be using by the amount of chocolate treats you will be making. And voila!

For example: If you are creating one chocolate bar to share between two people, use two doses of magic mushrooms and evenly distribute it throughout the entire bar. This will mean half a bar equals one dose.

Common doses will range between .5 grams on the low end, all the way to 3 grams of dried mushrooms per serving. IMPORTANT NOTE: The main psychoactive ingredient in magic mushrooms (psilocybin), is highly susceptible to heat, and will break down when exposed to high temperatures. Therefore it is important to never heat them up, or place them in overly hot conditions.

UNCLE CLEMPSONS, QUICK AND EASY MUSHROOM CHOCOLATE RECIPE

Uncle Clem always did how to get the job down with the least amount of effort. Here is his dead-simple magic mushroom chocolate recipe.

YOU WILL NEED:

  • Dried magic mushrooms – ground or chopped
  • your favorite variety of store-bought chocolate
  • A glass bowl
  • A sharp knife or coffee grinder
  • Chocolate mould – like this, or this. Or you could use a non-stick pan if you’re boring.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. First, you will want to make sure that you are using thoroughly dry mushrooms.
  2. Measure out the amount of mushrooms you will be using
  3. Grind your mushrooms to a fine powder using a coffee grinder or chop them up into small pieces using a knife
  4. Break up your chocolate into small equally sized pieces and place them in your glass bowl.
  5. Microwave the bowl containing your chocolate for one minute on high. Some chocolates will melt faster than others, so keep an eye on it. Once chocolate begins to look shiny, remove from the microwave and stir it.  Continue microwaving in 20-second intervals, stirring after each, until the chocolate is completely smooth.
  6. Allow your melted chocolate to cool for a second.
  7. Once the chocolate has cooled a little but is still liquid, add in your ground/chopped mushrooms.
  8. Stir the chocolate mix so that the mushrooms are evenly distributed throughout it.
  9. Carefully pour the chocolate into your moulds and then put them in the fridge to cool and set for 60-120 minutes.
  10. Once it has set, enjoy! Or wrap in foil for later.
